Outside food and/or beverages are not permitted in The Minnesota Ice Maze. Formula, breast milk, and baby/toddler food in a clear container is allowed.

All bags are subject to search. If outside food or beverages are found, they may not be allowed in.

Families with small children in strollers or wagons are always welcome at The Minnesota Ice Maze.

Due to size restrictions within The Maze, please refrain from bringing strollers or wagons unless necessary.

Welcome to Minnesota! Most days will be cold, so make sure to bundle up with plenty of layers. It is reccomended that you dress appropriately, with a warm jacket, hat, gloves, thick socks and boots. You will be walking on crushed ice and snow, so make sure you are sturdy, warm and your footware is ideal.

While we have fire pits onside to help warm up, The Minnesota Ice Maze does not have any indoor spaces that are heated. The Omni Hotel lobby bar & coffee shop, Kyndred Hearth, Ember & Ice, or Winter SKOLstice Warming Haus have heated areas for your ability to warm up. We hope you'll visit one of our supporting partners!

Please Note: There is no re-entry to The Minnesota Ice Maze.

While the Minnesota Ice Maze welcomes ADA guests, it’s important to note that the maze will be built upon a lot that is covered in gravel. Unfortunately, this type of terrain isn’t smooth, which could result in an uncomfortable journey through the maze for ADA visitors. Gravel surfaces also make it more challenging to keep pathways level during and after the snowfall. And while our teams will be diligent about keeping those pathways as clear as possible, foot traffic over snowfall could create ruts and slippery conditions throughout the maze corridors and could be hazardous for those guests who are unsteady on their feet or utilize wheelchairs.

We encourage ADA guests to consider these potential conditions before purchasing tickets. If attending, we highly recommend that a friend or family member inspect pathways when arriving at the maze. If conditions seem unfavorable, we will offer refunds to ADA guests and those accompanying members. If guests decide to join the maze, they do so at their own risk and will not be given a refund.

Costumes are permitted but must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Fake weapons such as knives, guns, whips, etc. are not allowed.
  • Clothing must be appropriate and not obscene or offensive.
  • Costumes may not interfere with other event goers.
  • Full-face masks are not allowed.

The Minnesota Ice Maze staff has the final decision on all costumes permitted to enter The Minnesota Ice Maze.

The Minnesota Ice Maze lost and found is located in the office. Please speak to any of The Minnesota Ice Maze Representives for assistance.

Lost and Found is open during event hours only. Items lost at prior events are held in a locked storage area for thirty (30) days or until the event has finished. Once The Minnesota Ice Maze is over, any unclaimed lost and found items will be donated or disposed of.

The Minnesota Ice Maze cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged items, including but not limited to, any unattended property or equipment.

While our event only runs from January until Mid-February, our locations will be open on the following Holidays:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan 16th, 2023)
  • Twin Cities School Districts - Professional Development Day (Jan 27th, 2023)

Monday-Friday: 4pm to 10pm

Saturday & Sunday: 10am to 10pm

It's our way of saying thank you to our active duty, retired and military veterans, their spouses, and children under 18 with a 10% discount on tickets to the 2023 Minnesota Ice Maze.

Please use discount code "ThankYou23" at the time of checkout to receive your discount. You will be required to present your military ID at check-in at the ice maze before entering.

While tickets are sold in one-hour increments, guests are allowed to take their time to enjoy the whole maze experience. However, we ask that guests be mindful of others’ reserved time slots by adhering to their allotted timeframe as much as possible. The fun doesn’t need to end at the ice maze, though. We encourage visitors to partake in the many other activities offered at Viking Lakes and stop by the wonderful restaurants and bars on the property.

Unfortunately, we could not include an ice slide at the 2023 Minnesota Ice Maze. Since this is the first year of our event, the safety of our guests is always our top priority. This year, unlike previous years when other companies have offered the ice maze, we decided to have the slide design approved by a structural engineer and secure insurance to ensure the safety of all who attend. Unfortunately, we could not get this approved due to the short timeline after the previous venue was canceled.

While we understand that the ice slide is a beloved feature of the maze, we hope you will still enjoy the event's other exciting and engaging elements, such as Pond Hockey, Curling, Ice Skating and the Warming Haus. We hope to bring it back to future ice mazes when we have more than six weeks of planning.

We apologize for any disappointment this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Thank you for your continued support of the Minnesota Ice Maze.
